The area around the villa

The villa is located in the outskirts of Rethymno city only 5km away from the center

Additionally the villa is located next to the village Atsipopoulo which is a large suburb of Rethymno and which has developed in the past few years offering many kinds of shops, supermarkets, bakeries and tavernas.

Specifically in Rethymno centre there is a large variety of shops (supermarkets, fishmongers, butcher shops, bakeries,) as well as highly acclaimed restaurants, numerous cafes, pastry shops, ice cream shops and more. In Rethymno you may also visit the magnificent old town, the Venetian harbour,  the museum and the venetian castle “Fortezza” which is the trademark of the city.

Villa Mageia’s location is ideal for people who want a quiet place to relax but to be close to everything. Furthermore, it is a great base for making excursions around Crete as the main national road is only 2 minutes away.
